EU-Warnungen vor Spielzeug aus China

Achtung: Bekanntermassen wird aus China immer wieder gesundheitsgefährdendes Spielzeug angeliefert bzw. an den Grenzen zur EU abgefangen. Die EU veröffentlicht hierzu jede Woche eine RAPEX Liste, auf der die blockierten Waren aufgelistet sind. Interessant, was sich dort alles findet: Sogar, also, ja, “vomit”!

The toy poses a chemical risk as it contains 0,47 % by weight of di-”isononyl” phthalate (DINP).

According to the Chemicals Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, the allowed maximum level for phthalates is 0,1%.

The product may come into contact with a child’s lips and mouth and the restricted chemicals may get into saliva and can be swallowed. Phthalates may cause harm to an unborn child and possibly pose a risk of impaired fertility. Phthalates have a negative impact on the development of male/female reproductive organs.
